Xbox Live 4th of July Sale 2022 – There are a slew of tech and gaming deals to take advantage of this 4th of July weekend. It’s not uncommon for GameStop to join in the fun with a major sale of its own, and the company’s 4th of July 2022 sale is currently underway and will run through Monday, May 25. If you buy two new or pre-owned games for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One, you get one free.

Because this type of sale is typically reserved for used games, the inclusion of some Switch titles, as well as some new ones, is noteworthy. Sadly, first-party Switch games and retro games aren’t included, and most of the games are still full price.

As is customary, the lowest-priced game in your shopping cart will be deducted from the total amount you pay. If you buy two $60 games and one $15 game, you won’t get much of a bargain. For another thing, many of the games included in this B2G1 sale are listed at a price that’s significantly higher than the usual low price.

For example, the Game of the Yorha Edition of Nier: Automata, which was previously available for $25, is now listed at $40. Witcher 3: Complete Edition is normally $20 on PS4 and Xbox One, and $45 on Switch, but it’s selling for $40 and $60 right now. Don’t buy Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for $60, because it’s almost always on sale for $15 to $20.

If you’re in the market for a new game, you’ll find some good options here, but keep in mind that some of these titles can be purchased separately for less money. Specifically, the sale includes the Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which has been difficult to obtain since its release. Persona 5 Royal’s steelbook launch edition, which is currently on sale for $50, is another excellent choice. The Outer Worlds, Resident Evil 3, Control, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order are also part of the B2G1 sale, so there are plenty of great options.
