Southwest 4th of July Sale 2022 – No matter how much the cost of flying has risen in recent years, Southwest Airlines’ 4th of July sale is offering lower fares for travel in the late summer and fall.

Passengers booking by June 10 will find one-way fares as low as $49 each way for travel between August 17 and November 5.

Southwest’s latest flight sale has fares between Chicago and Nashville for as low as $49 each way on most weekdays in September and October. Passengers can choose to score deals from either Chicago O’Hare, where Southwest launched flights earlier this year, or Chicago Midway.

During the months of September and October, travelers can fly from San Diego to Reno for as little as $78 one-way. Travel between Boston and Miami is available for as little as $83 to $98 each way on select dates in August, September and October.

Southwest Airlines is offering one-way fares as low as $49 for travel this summer and fall in honors of 4th of July.

Now through June 10 at 11:59 p.m. CT, customers can book discounted travel within the continental U.S. for dates between August 17 and November 5, 2021. Travel within Hawaii, to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and around the world are also permitted between August 17 and November 5, 2021, regardless of destination. From August 9 to November 5, 2021, travelers can travel between the continental United States and Hawaii.

Travel from Hawaii to the continental U.S. is prohibited from August 9-15, 2021, for 4th of July weekend, while travel within the continental U.S. is prohibited from September 3-6, 2021.

Notable one-way fares include nonstop between Baltimore and Myrtle Beach for as low as $49 one-way, nonstop between Nashville and Houston from $89 one-way and nonstop between San Diego and Honolulu for as little as $139 one-way. Plus, travellers can find fares as low as $39 one-way and $78 roundtrip on interisland Hawaii routes this summer.

And while the deal doesn’t apply to last-minute 4th of July travel itself, it may be a good time to start planning ahead as travel restrictions throughout the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic have gradually lifted.

Domestic airfares are already up 12 percent from April, according to data from Hopper, an app that surfaces airline, hotel, and rental car deals. And while it isn’t unusual for airfares to rise going into summer, Hopper this year isn’t expecting airline ticket prices to come down as much as they usually do in the fall.
